MetSYS is a fully integrated infor-mation system. By its very nature, it sorts, filters, prioritizes and otherwise org-anizes data to provide timely and relevant informa-tion as part of the normal process of working with MetSYS .

These data managing capacities are augmented by powerful reporting tools. These tools empower authorized staff to access, analyze and summarize needed information.

Library of Pre-Designed Reports

MetSYS provides a constantly growing number of pre-designed reports that summarize and break down data into complex relationships. These reports can be quickly generated from pick lists and menus. Some of these include:

• Lists and Labels
• Client Characteristics [i.e. demographic frequencies and client characteristic summaries]
• Attendance and Service Utilization [i.e., service, organization and system-wide]
• Program-Specific Compliance Reports [i.e. WIA Annual Report and HUD APR].
• Funding [i.e., allocations and expenses, expenditures by client, expenditures by cost category, expenditures by grant or contract]
• Outcomes [progress of clients toward goals, and outcomes after program participation]
• Charts and Graphs [i.e., pie, bar and other types of charts]
• Service Directories [Service Lists and descriptive catalogs for organizations or communities with details on openings, scheduling, location, requirements, and costs]
• Past Ad-Hoc Reports [Any report created by our custom report generator can be saved and added to the Report Library]

Many of these reports have “run-time” options that allow you to specify desired parameters at the time of report generation. For example, you can set a range of dates or client sub-groups when you run reports.

Many pre-designed reports are built into MetSYS tool to increase ease-of-use. For example. You can print rosters of clients using a service from the Participation Tool, and notes for a selected period of time from the Case Notes Tool.

Also, of no small importance, MetSYS provides multiple options to ensure that your reporting tools do not become security holes providing unauthorized access to your data.

• Extract and Export Tool. You can select data elements and create extracts that can be exported to other software. This includes databases [SQL, Access, .DBF and Others], financial software [Excel, Lotus and most accounting software], statistical packages [SPSS, SAS, SYSTAT and Others], and virtually any other software.
• Date Import and Consolidation Tools. .XML-based data import and exchange utilities make it possible to consolidate and analyze data from multiple data systems.
• Comprehensive Database. You can’t get the reports you need, if your system doesn’t collect data to be reported. The MetSYS database include over 5,000 fields on clients and options to create over 400 user-defined fields.
• Interactive Data Dictionary. Out built-in “Data Dog” tool makes it easy to search the MetSYS database , and find the data fields that you need for your reports.
